This month is about "The Child in the Background." As you look at Jesus' ministry, you will see that He sought out people who were in the background. He wants us to do the same as we minister to children.

Great basketball players know how to block out distractions when they're at the free throw line and focus on the goal. Same thing applies to Children's Ministry. In this video, I share four things that will try to distract you and how to stay focused on the goal of impacting kids and families with the love of Christ.

Research shows that many kids walk away from church when they get out of school. I believe one reason is because of teaching information without emphasizing life transformation. Somehow we think if we fill kid's heads with information, they will love Jesus. Information is vital, but without application and life change, it can be seed that falls on stony ground.

In this video, I share some keys to helping kids receive God's Word not only in their head, but in their heart as well.

This month is about growing as a leader and helping others grow at the same time.

April Spark

This month's Spark is about one of our top priorities at God's Kids....the Safety and Security of the children. You'll see the news story of a girl who was recently kidnapped from another church in our area. I share some key things that each of us must remember to keep the kids safe and secure at our church.

Easter is just around the corner. We will have hundreds of new children and families visit across all of our campuses. Let's go the second mile to be Jesus' arms of love reaching out to them. We are His hands and feet. What a privilege it is to serve Him.

Thank you for your heart to make a difference in the lives of kids and families. It's an honor to serve with you at Christ Fellowship.

March Spark

This month two special guests join me as we discuss helping other people grow in their faith by inviting them to serve. Ephesians 2:10 makes it clear that serving is a big part of being a disciple of Jesus. Jesus modeled serving when He said,"I didn't come to be served, but to serve."

Take a few minutes and be encouraged by this short video. God can use you to help your friends,co-workers,family,and people you attend church with become better disciples by inviting them to serve.
